Jim Cooper
Commercialisation
Jim is an innovation and commercialisation specialist working at the intersection of climate, applied science, energy, biotech and more. He's the the co-founder of Los Angeles based venture advisory firm Braid Theory, and is today the GM (North America) for Sydney-founded Blue-X. He’s spent the past 15–20 years building and running accelerators, helping founders and researchers turn promising ideas into market demand.
And in case that isn't enough, Jim is also National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps instructor across multiple US hubs, advising and mentoring widely across the US, Canada and Australia.
Jim's passion for the start-up space and his exceptional experience and authority with early stage commercialisation will be a valuable addition to the Software Australia IA skill base as we build and develop our community and resources.
